What is ideal download?

Ideal Download's main goal is to promote discussion regarding the future of online music services. How will the past lessons about consumer demand, site usability, and copyright control combine with new technologies to provide the ultimate user experience? What will pricing look like? Will major labels dominate or will the indies play a more significant role? What business model(s) will prove to be profitable?

As both a music fan and a heavy internet user, I have my own opinions on these topics. The initial posts on this site will get some ideas I have out in the open and hopefully initiate discussion. Please feel free to participate at any time. Maybe together we can define the future.
